Our sustainability concept "COHpure"

In the context of the transformation of the automotive industry and the global responsibility for our climate, we consider it essential to use our resources responsibly. Sustainability is therefore an elementary component of our actions. With this in mind, we have set ourselves the goal of implementing climate-neutral production by 2035. As a medium-sized company with regional roots and an international focus, we feel responsible for the future of generations to come.

For this reason, we are continuing to expand our sustainability concept ‘COHpure’.

Tolerance, anti-discrimination and equal rights are fundamental principles of our sustainability program. Health promotion is also an important cornerstone. Ergonomic workstations form the basis for creating a working environment in which employees feel comfortable. There are also attractive sports and health programs and the option of working from home for employees.

We take on social responsibility, and not just within the company. Among other things, we support our employees in carrying out voluntary work.

We have had our management system certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14001 for over 10 years. In addition to environmental protection, the topic of occupational health and safety is very important to us. For this reason, we also have this topic regularly put through its paces by an external certification body.

To reduce our ecological footprint, we rely on energy-efficient technologies. We are proud of the fact that our two German sites are supplied with 100% green electricity (green electricity guarantee certificate). The green electricity we purchase is generated 100% from renewable energies. This means that no CO₂ emissions or radioactive waste are generated during electricity production.

The following measures are already implemented as part of COHpure:

- Renewal of the heating system including combined heat and power plant (Dillenburg site)

- Purchase of an environmentally friendly evaporator (Montabaur site)

- Adjustment of the lighting to LED

- Conversion of the logistics vehicle fleet to electric forklifts (Montabaur site)

- And many more
